9-1-1 Address Assignment
Request an address assignment:
The owner, or owner's authorized agent, must submit a completed Development Application to obtain an address assignment for new or proposed development.  The address assignment is provided at no cost.  Please note, compliance with Bastrop County development regulations (i.e.: Floodplain, Development, Driveway, On-Site Sewage Facility, Subdivision, etc.) may be required prior to the release of an address.  Click here to view permit fees related to development activities.

For public safety purposes, it is crucial for each residential and commercial structure to be assigned a valid and unique address.  If your location does not appear to have an address please contact Bastrop County GIS & Addressing.  The owner/occupants is responsible for displaying address signage at the driveway entrance in a manner visible from the road, on the building, and any other point to help direct emergency responders to the correct location.  Knowing and displaying a valid address helps 9-1-1, dispatchers, and emergency service responders find the correct location in the event of an emergency.

Confirm an address assignment
Contact Addressing and GIS Mapping by telephone at 512-581-4242, email at addressing@co.bastrop.tx.us to confirm an address assignment.  Please be prepared to provide the address (if known) or property information.  Property information includes the Bastrop Central Appraisal District (BCAD) property identification number (R#), legal description, land owner name, GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude), or distance (in feet) from a known intersection or address, etc.
